Round One of the WHO’s 2nd Annual Last Brewer Standing challenge was held at our March meeting. The round focused on Belgian and French style beers. The scores were as follows:

– Cesar & Steven’s Belgian Strong Dark Ale scored 9.5
– Mike K’s Belgian Dubbel scored 10.6
– Brian & Dan’s Saison scored 10.2
– Ken H’s Tripel scored 9.0
– Dave R & Ed V’s Dubbel scored 11.9
– Mike Sell’s award-winning Grisette scored 9.8
– Mike & Fred’s Belgian Pale Ale scored 6.3
– Scott’s Flanders Red Ale scored 9.1
– Brandon’s Dubbel scored 8.1

Dave R & Ed V came out on top with the highest score of 11.9 with their Dubbel. Well done, guys! And special thanks to Mike Sell for taking us on a narrated tour of the various styles as we tasted the beers!
